@sainzu, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Your HP Laptop PC 14-d2000 (2D127AV) is likely missing or has a corrupted recovery partition, which is why it's asking for installation or recovery media. Here’s how you can fix it:

Solution 1: Use HP Cloud Recovery Tool

If your laptop originally came with Windows preinstalled, you can create a recovery USB using HP’s official tool:

  • On another working PC, download the HP Cloud Recovery Tool.
  • Insert a USB flash drive (at least 32GB) and use the tool to create a recovery drive.
  • Insert the USB into your HP laptop and boot from it (press F9 at startup to select boot device).
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your laptop.

Solution 2: Use Windows Installation Media

If HP Cloud Recovery is not an option, you can install Windows manually:

  • On another working PC, download the Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
  • Use the tool to create a bootable USB drive (at least 8GB).
  • Plug the USB into your HP laptop and restart.
  • Press F9 at startup to select USB drive as the boot device.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows.

Solution 3: Check for Recovery Partition

If your laptop still has its recovery partition, try accessing it:

  • Restart your laptop and press F11 repeatedly during startup.
  • If the HP Recovery Manager opens, follow the steps to reset your PC.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
