To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

 

  • What exactly happens when you press the power button (e.g., no lights, fan noise, or a blank screen)?
  • Do you see any error messages or indicators on the screen?
  • Is the laptop connected to the charger, and do you notice any charging light?

In the meantime, here are a few quick troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Check the power adapter and cable – Ensure the charger is firmly connected to both the laptop and the wall outlet. Try a different outlet if possible.
  2. Look for charging indicators – Most HP laptops have a small LED near the charging port. Confirm if it lights up when plugged in.
  3. Perform a hard reset – Disconnect the charger, then press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds. Reconnect the charger and try turning it on again.
  4. Remove external devices – If you have USB drives, printers, or other peripherals connected, unplug them and attempt to start the laptop
