i get message on screen, your pc ran into problems

i bought hp dragonfly yesterday, and today i got message on screen 3 times, blue color window saying your pc ran into a problem and need to restart. we just collecting error info and then we ll restart for you.  this is annoying. 

also another terrible annoying thing is i cant get rid of microsoft edge in my default app no option in the list to make google default brouser.

Problems during the first few days of using a new PC are a really BAD SIGN!!

If this were mine, I would return it NOW and either demand a full refund or exchange it for one that works.

If you are not returning the computer, install Google Chrome, and then nominate it as your "default browser".

Since January 2020, note that Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome are built on top of the same open-source "Chromium" project. So, there are only "cosmetic" versions between the two web-browsers.

Previously, Edge was all code written by Microsoft's programmers. That may have been one reason to not use Edge.

i did install google chrome. but when i get message make google default, i press it then new window opens, and says choose app to make default, and chrome is not in the list. then i go to edge settings still there cant make it default. the button for make default is frozen. cant press itv.

i want to return it yes, today was public holiday here. tomorrow i ll try to go to the shop. and btw today it has no such problem. Laptop is working normally. But its too slow for i7 and 16 g ram

i don't understand really what means cosmetic versions. my English is not very good probably

Within Microsoft Edge, use your mouse to highlight the above words.

With the 2nd mouse-button, click on the highlighted words.

Click to "translate to [your language]".

Does that help you understand the word COSMETIC ?

Is "Google Chrome" in the list?

Or, open Google Chrome, and click to open its "Settings" window. 

From there, you should be able to set Google Chrome as your "default" web-browser.
