Hi @Merin25, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It looks like your camera is not being detected at all by Windows 11, even after reinstalling drivers and troubleshooting. Here are some steps to diagnose and fix the issue:

Check if Camera is Disabled in BIOS

  1. Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS (press F10, Esc, or Del during startup, depending on your model).
  2. Look for a setting related to the camera (it may be under "Security" or "Advanced").
  3. If it's disabled, enable it, save changes, and restart.

Check for Hidden Devices in Device Manager

  1. Open Device Manager (Win + X → Device Manager).
  2. Click View > Show hidden devices.
  3. Expand Imaging devices, Cameras, or Unknown Devices.
  4. If your camera appears, right-click > Enable or Update driver.

Reinstall Camera Drivers

  1. In Device Manager, expand Cameras (or Imaging devices).
  2. Right-click your camera and Uninstall device (if visible).
  3. Click Action > Scan for hardware changes.
  4. If the camera doesn’t appear, download the driver from HP’s official website for your laptop model.

Install Generic Microsoft Camera Driver

  1. In Device Manager, right-click on the camera (if visible).
  2. Select Update driver > Browse my computer for drivers.
  3. Choose Let me pick from a list.
  4. Select USB Video Device and install it.

Check Windows Privacy Settings

  1. Go to Settings (Win + I) > Privacy & Security > Camera.
  2. Ensure Camera access is enabled.
  3. Enable access for apps (like Zoom, Teams, etc.).

Run Windows Troubleshooter

  1. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  2. Run the Camera Troubleshooter.

Check Physical Connection

  • If using an external webcam, try a different USB port or another PC.
  • If it's a built-in camera and not detected at all, it might be a hardware failure or loose connection.

Check Windows Update & Optional Updates

  1. Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  2. Check for updates, including Optional Updates (which may contain camera drivers).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
