HP Stream - 11-y020wm

Recently I purchased a Hp Stream Notebook. The previous owner or at least the hands of the previous people that had the notebook has removed Windows 10. I looked it up and I belive it requires Windows 10 in s mode. I'm not that savvy when it comes to computers. I can learn though just need help, I downloaded Windows 10 today onto  a USB drive and attempted to install Windows. The notebook starts right up and accesses the USB drive but it doesn't get far into the installation. It stops at the spot where you are supposed to choose where you want to put the file. Gives me a warning below that says that it can't be saved in this folder, Although I'm not sure if it is because the file is too large or what is going on. It also told me that there is nothing on my USB drive at one point, which is obvious that the notebook is confused since it loaded the USB to install windows 10 upon start-up of the notebook. I can't get it to progress any further. I'm already listed as the administrator on the notebook. I'm not sure what I need to do. Am I supposed to download something else, like some kind of boot driver or driver for the  Hp?  Hopefully, someone knows what I'm supposed to be doing.  It is telling me that Windows can't be installed on drive0 partition 1.  That is the only option it is giving me to install the file.

Sincerely grateful for anything,

Savannah

Hi, Savannah:

It could be that you need to clean the disk during the W10 installation.

Then see if you can install W10.

You can also use the HP cloud recovery tool with another PC running W7 64 bit or newer and a 32 GB USB flash drive to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.

Since you have to install the recovery tool on another PC, after you launch it, you will need to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window to proceed.

Your notebook's product number is:  X7V32UA#ABA
