HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c0000 (320M3AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

some Icons on the task bar have become invisible after doing a restore point procedure. the laptop is only a few days old.

I chose to do a restore after installing google drive which did not go well and google drive would not uninstall because a message said program was still running even after I had done a reboot. Having got rid of that by the restore option i am now left with the invisible task bar icons problem. the default icons that were preinstalled with windows 10.

NOTE...

After the restore point was completed and closed down then another message popped up saying cannot open this app. No idea what app. That message gave me two options of copy to clipboard or close. in order to close it I had to try several time as it kept popping up repeatedly and eventually closed.  then i noticed the problem with the task bar icons. the microsoft edge icon remained visible.
