Hi:

Unfortunately, that would be impossible to do.

PC's either come with UEFI BIOS' or they don't.

You cannot add UEFI to a legacy BIOS with a BIOS update.

UEFI BIOS's were not offered in HP notebooks until the Intel 2nd generation core processors came out.

The reason you can't enable virtualization in your notebook is because the Intel T4300 processor it has, does not support virtualization, not because your notebook does not have a UEFI BIOS.

You can access the UEFI upon startup by repeatedly hitting the escape key as the computer is powering on. You can also access it from within Windows by:

  1. Clicking on the Start Menu on the lower left-hand side of the screen
  2. Click Power and hold down the Shift key at the same time you click Restart. Keep holding down the Shift and wait until the Choose an Option screen pops up
  3. Click Troubleshoot
  4. Choose Options
  5. Select UEFI Firmware Settings
  6. Click Restart. Your computer will power off, then power on and open the UEFI screen upon startup
