You gave us absolutely NO INFORMATION to work with -- so how can you expect an answer?
New HP laptops nearly always come with McAfee antivirus already installed -- but that is just a trial version, usually 30 days. If you want to continue it after that, you have to purchase an annual subscription.
When the trial ends, new Windows 10 versions then automatically enable Windows Defender -- which has improved over the years and is today considered a fairly decent product -- although the commercial alternatives tend to do better in detecting and removing malware.
