Iaplogize in advance if put this into the wrong section I have no clue where something like this regaurdingthe BIOS wouldgo
I have an Peltebook 8740w that I have been using againfor a little bit but i've encountered some problems after a bios update. I updated the BIOS to F.60 [the latest bios for this laptop] to try to make my brightness keys work however it has made everything so much worse.
After the BIOS update these problems have occured:
-sometimes cerain key presses wont register anmore
-the touchpad randomly freezes for a split second
Tese problems are very annoying an im wonderingif anyone can help me solve these?
-I've tried rolling back te bios immiditall after the update however it didnt work
afterthis I was unable to boot into windows anymore it would just freeze on a black screen befre the windows logo would display
-I tried rolling back the bios again however it didnt work just giving me a continuously blinking caps lock light
-I then grabbed ifferent ssd with windows 10 on it and i got the laptop to boot to windows10 andtried to update the bios to F.20 mbu couldnt because HP doesnt letyou do that
-I the tried to creat a recovery usbhowever the BIOS file from HP is broken and doesnt let me create a recovery usb
-I then managed to get the F.60 bios updated to work in the F.20 one and created a recovery USB however that didnt work either and Iwoud just get stuck on a black scren with a blinking caps lock light
-I even tried putting th laptop's original GPUback in and the laptop doesnt give me a blinking caps lock light when trying toget into the HP bios updater/recovery bu instead just boots rigt into windows 10.
This BIOS updated [which i've reinstalled 3 times] seems to hate my laptop a lot, but all I want is for keyboard and trackpad to work properly so Ican actually still use this laptop since i spent 500 dollars on upgrades for it
Is there anything I havent tried yet to get the old BIOS to flash back onto this laptop without hving to buy one of those manual bios chp flashers that dont understand
