good evening i have an EliteBook 840 G3 notebook PC and recently the keyboard backlight has turned off because i lifted the laptop from under the touch pad so i thought maybe i damaged the compartiment responsible of the light
can you please help me how to know the problem and thank you

Does your machine have a F* key with backlit symbol ?
- If NO, it does not have backlit keyboard.
- If YES, please use the following Guide

Please try
1. Run Keyboard troubleshooter:
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot.
Select Other Troubleshooters
Scroll down and select Keyboard, then click on Run.
2. Press Windows + X > Select Device Manager
Expand the Keyboards section.
Right-click on your keyboard driver and select Uninstall
Click Uninstall.
Restart your computer.
