Try these steps:

If your login uses a Microsoft account:

Visit the Microsoft Account Recovery Page:

Sign In with the New Password:

  • Once you have reset the password, use it to log into the laptop.

Local Account Password Recovery

If you're using a local account and forgot the password:

Use Password Reset Disk:

  • If you have created a password reset disk in the past, use it to reset your password.

Offline Password Reset Tools:

  • Utilization of third-party tools for password recovery may be considered, or consult a professional. Ensure that you comply with HP's warranty and service policies.

Factory Reset

As a last resort, if no recovery options work:

Back Up Your Data:

  • If possible, back up important data using another device or method.

Perform a Factory Reset:

  • Restart the laptop and press F11 to enter the recovery mode.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to perform a factory reset, which will remove all data including any saved passwords.
