My laptop was hit with water and worked for some hours until the battery ran down , but when I plugged the charging port into the laptop, the charging light flashes orange and then eventually white for 2 seconds and again orange so on. I press the power button but It doesn‘t turn on.

You should have powered it completely OFF and left it that way for at least two days. 

 

If you left it on on or turned it on sooner than that, it likely shorted out something inside -- and the only way to find that out is to pay a fortune to a local laptop repair shop to completely disassemble it and inspect all the internals.  There is no shortcut for this and no cheap alternative.

 

And since this is "accidental damage", this is not covered by the HP warranty.
