laptop says boot device not found install operating system

says boot device not found , install operating system. Passes memory test. Hard disk smart check not available,  short dst: warning . Can't get F11 to open

Hi,

Usually this indicates a failure of the Hard Drive which you will need to replace. You could use a 2.5" SATA3 SSD which would give a boost to the performance of the PC

On page 49 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the drive

You can create a USB drive with Windows 10 on it by using the media creation tool.(on a different computer)

You can then use this USB drive to install the OS once you have inserted the new Drive in the PC.
