Hi @krazyduckie

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

You can set up or change the administrator password in UEFI BIOS by entering BIOS with F10, navigating to the Security tab, and saving changes under the Main tab.

Steps to Manage Administrator Password in UEFI BIOS

Set up the administrator password:

  • Turn on the computer and press F10 repeatedly until the BIOS menu opens.
  • Go to the Security tab → select Setup BIOS Administrator Password.
  • Enter your chosen password and press Enter.
  • Navigate to the Main tab → select Save Changes and Exit → confirm with Yes.

Change the administrator password:

  • Restart and press F10 to open BIOS.
  • Go to the Security tab → select Change Password.
  • Enter the current password, then type the new one and press Enter.
  • Navigate to the Main tab → select Save Changes and Exit → confirm with Yes.

This ensures your BIOS settings are protected from unauthorized changes.
