so my Laptops hdd dies on me  and i had to replace it with a new ssd i have it mostley set up but i cant get cool sense back on it  i try to install and it says it need .net framework installed but i have the latest version installed  

 

any one know how to fix this ?

Hi, @Onikakarot 

 

I believe that you have to install the older Net Framework 3.5 in order to have HP Coolsense work.

 

You can install Net Framework 3.5 by going to the windows control panel>programs>Turn Windows features on or off.

 

A window will open, and a list of programs will populate.  The first one that shows up should be Net framework 3.5.

 

Check the box to install it.  When the installation is completed, restart the PC and then see if you can install the HP coolsense software.
