I am receiving an error product information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid

system board (00A) - system borad ct number

when I looked at the system information and located the CT number it says HP

it happens every time I start my laptop.  we have not replaced the system board done anything to it. It just happened all of a sudden.

It is running very slow and is no longer under warranty as I purchased it back in September of 2016.

I am also having an issue with the battery not keeping a charge where can I go to replace it or does the system board CT number affect that?

Please help me fix this.

Hi @DragonPrincess

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

No, these problems are not related.

The system board issue is a software/BIOS update related issue, most likely.

HP has created an article for the system board issues >> https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c01443496

The PC will require service at HP or HP Authorized service center to restore the info.
