HP Pavilion 15-cs2073cl
Microsoft Windows 11

I updated my Pavilion laptop to Win 11 and everything was working fine, but when I connected a Logitech M170 mouse, it didn't work properly. It stuck, wasn't accurate, lost its speed for seconds, etc.

It's worth noting that the mouse worked fine on another computer with Win 11, but for other reasons, I had to replace the laptop, and now I'm having this problem.

It's no secret that this laptop isn't optimized for Win 11, but I wanted to know if there's any alternative other than downgrading to Win 10.

@RogerVE, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

I'm sorry to hear about the mouse connectivity issues you're experiencing with your HP Pavilion laptop after upgrading to Windows 11. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the issue without downgrading:

Update Mouse Drivers: Ensure that your Logitech M170 mouse drivers are up-to-date. You can do this by visiting the Logitech support website and downloading the latest drivers for your mouse model.

Check Bluetooth and USB Ports: If the mouse is wireless and uses Bluetooth, make sure your laptop’s Bluetooth drivers are current. If it’s a USB mouse, try using different USB ports to see if the problem is with the port itself.

Uninstall and Reinstall Mouse Drivers: Go to Device Manager, find your mouse under "Mice and other pointing devices," right-click and select "Uninstall device." After uninstalling, restart your laptop, and Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
