HP Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

A few days ago the mouse on my computer completely disappeared.  Have restarted a few times and tried to troubleshoot but can't get it back.  I don't use a USB mouse - this is just the touchpad.  Also, now it seems the number pad on the side of my keyboard doesn't work. It makes different beeping noises when I press num lock but that is all.  I also have a blue O at the bottom of my cursor when I type.  I feel certain this is something in the settings, but can't figure it out, and can't believe it costs so much money to get an answer from HP on this.

Thanks for any help I can receive.

@jmsanbox,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I recommend you uninstall the touchpad and keyboard driver from device manager and then download and install it from the below link.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

Here is how it is done.

  1. Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

If you continue facing the issue, then make sure that the keyboard language is set correctly.

Here is how it is done.

  1. Click the Start menu and select Settings.
  2. Select Time & language.
  3. Click Region & language in the left column.
  4. Under Languages click the language you want as default and click Set as default.

To add a keyboard language:

  1. Click the Start menu and select Settings.
  2. Select Time & language.
  3. Click Region & language in the left column.
  4. Select Add a language.
  5. Choose the language you want to add and select a country for the language.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Cheers!
