my computer battery does not above charge above 88 %

@Siotepoh

There are a BUNCH of models in this Series.  A quick search result: 183 models for "HP Stream - 14-ax0"

I checked four of them - one was introduced in mid-2016, the others in mid-2017.

The battery in your computer might be doing the best it can - batteries age over time and the "top" charge (the most charge the battery can hold) will diminish.  That means a new battery can charge to 100% - and older battery may only charge to 92% -- or 88%.

What to do?

First off, when you have no need of using the battery, leave the computer plugged in (to the AC adapter).  Leaving the computer attached to the AC adapter reduces the number of times the battery must "cycle" (charge).  Fewer numbers of charge cycles might extend your battery life.

Thanks for the reply, but my computer is just 11 months old . I bought it in January of 2018.

"Just eleven months" is enough time for the battery to show "age".

You may want to contact HP Technical Support, open an online case, ask the question, and see what the technician has to say.

In particular, if you feel the battery is "failing", run the UEFI battery component test and have the results ready.   If the battery has indeed failed the UEFI test, HP will want to have that information.

Batteries typically last about as long as the warranty, maybe a bit longer.
