Hi @sassymissnikki

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for sharing the details—seeing “No bootable device found” on your HP Stream 14 can be deeply unsettling, especially when you rely on it to stay productive. I’m really sorry this has happened. Let’s walk through a few steps to help restore your system and get it back to normal.

Step 1: Perform a Hard Reset

This clears temporary glitches:

  1. Power off the laptop completely.
  2. Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, SD cards, etc.).
  3. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the charger and power it on.

Step 2: Check BIOS Boot Settings

  1. Power on and immediately press Esc repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.
  2. Press F10 to enter BIOS Setup.
  3. Navigate to System Configuration > Boot Options.
  4. Ensure:
    • Legacy Support is Enabled.
    • Secure Boot is Disabled.
    • Boot Order includes Internal Hard Drive or eMMC as the first option.
  5. Press F10 to save and exit.

Step 3: Run HP UEFI Diagnostics

To check for hardware issues:

  1. Power on and press Esc, then F2 for HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  2. Run the Storage Test and Memory Test.
  3. If the storage test fails, the internal drive may be corrupted or disconnected.

You can download the diagnostics tool if needed:
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics

Step 4: Attempt Recovery Using HP Cloud Recovery

If the internal drive is intact but Windows is missing or corrupted:

  1. Use another PC to download the HP Cloud Recovery Tool:
    HP Cloud Recovery Tool
  2. Create a recovery USB using your product number: X7S46UA#ABA.
  3. Insert the USB into your HP Stream and boot from it:
    • Power on and press Esc, then F9 for Boot Menu.
    • Select the USB drive and follow on-screen instructions to reinstall Windows.

Step 5: If Recovery USB Isn’t Possible

You can use the Windows Media Creation Tool:

Let me know how far you get with these steps. If the diagnostics confirm a hardware fault, you can decide how to proceed with service or replacement. I’m here to guide you through recovery and make sure your HP Stream gets back to working condition.
