Hi @Mayank4514

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the concern. The way the camera opens briefly and then closes indicates that the system is detecting the device but not maintaining a stable connection. Let us go step by step with recommended actions:

Check HP App Diagnose & Fix
Open the HP App on your Pavilion 15. From the main menu, select Diagnose & Fix. Run the scan and allow it to check for camera‑related issues. This tool will automatically repair certain conflicts.

Verify Camera in Device Manager

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Cameras or Imaging devices.
  • Confirm if your HP camera is listed.
  • Right‑click the camera > Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.

Reinstall HP Drivers from Support Page
Visit the official HP Support page for your Pavilion 15 model. Download and install the following in order:

  • BIOS update
  • Intel chipset driver
  • Graphics driver
  • HP System Event Utility
  • HP Hotkey Support driver

Check Camera Privacy Settings
Some Pavilion models include a camera privacy key or switch. Ensure it is set to allow camera use. Also, in Windows Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera, confirm that access is enabled for apps.

Test with Multiple Applications
After the above steps, test the camera with the HP App, Windows Camera, and a conferencing app to confirm stability.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
