If you bought MS Office with the HP PC, and it came preinstalled, then of course it would not be there if you simply replaced the hard drive.

And unfortunately, since MS Office is not part of the standard HP build, it would not be included on the HP Recovery Media, either.

You would need to contact HP Customer Support directly to see if there is any way to obtain it from HP -- which I doubt at this point.

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1
If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!
If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (800) 474-6836

Sorry for jumpping in. Did your register the product with Microsoft ? If yes, you can use your Microsoft accout to re-activate the product.

I've got few MS Office copies but I have to register each copy under different account. By some reasons, when I registered 2 differnet MS Office (Pro and Home+Business) on 2 different laptops using ONE MS account and MS said I only have one copy. It took me months to get it right from Microsoft.

Regards.
