Hi @Venu15
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like your HP 15s-du3038TU laptop is facing serious issues with its hard drive or boot configuration.
Here are steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
1. Understand the Errors:
- Short DST Not Available: This indicates that the hard drive's self-test (Drive Self-Test) couldn't run, which might mean the hard drive is failing or inaccessible.
- SMART Check Software Error: SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) errors suggest potential hard drive failure.
- Boot Device Not Found: This means the system cannot locate a bootable device, often due to a corrupted boot sector or disconnected hard drive.
2. Run Diagnostics:
- Restart your laptop and press Esc or F2 repeatedly during startup to access the HP Diagnostics menu.
- Run a full system diagnostic test to confirm the status of your hard drive.
3. Check BIOS Settings:
- Restart your laptop and press F10 to enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
- Verify that the hard drive is listed as a bootable device. If not, it may be disconnected or damaged.
4. Repair Boot Configuration:
- Create a bootable USB drive with Windows 11 installation media using another computer.
- Boot from the USB and select Repair your computer > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Repair.
