@ima_digger Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that your laptop is not recognizing any android mobile phones.
Try a few steps recommended below.
Press Windows Key + X and choose Device Manager from the menu.
Locate your Android device, right-click it and choose Update Driver Software.
Click Browse my computer for driver software.
Now click on Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
From the list choose MTP USB Device and click Next.
After the driver has been installed, your Android device should be recognized.
If the issue still persists Use a different USB cable, Install the driver from the phone manufacturers' website and Enable USB debugging on your phone.
let me know how that pans out,
And the answer to the above question will help me, help you!
Keep me posted, and if any of the above questionnaires helped resolve the issue,
Mark this post as an "Accepted Solution".
Good luck.

While the solution recommended by @praveen196 is likely to work, with my Samsung phone, the only solution that worked was downloading the Mobile driver directly from Samsung.
So, you might have to check with LG to see if they have such a driver.
