Hi @b134,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the touchscreen on your HP Pavilion X360 14-ek0013dx is not working, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
1. Restart Your Laptop
- Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve the issue.
2. Check for Windows Updates
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and make sure your system is fully updated.
- Install any available updates and restart your laptop.
3. Enable Touchscreen in Device Manager
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Human Interface Devices section.
- Look for HID-compliant touch screen.
- Right-click it and select Enable (if it’s disabled). If it’s already enabled, try Disable and then Enable again.
- Restart your laptop.
4. Reinstall the Touchscreen Driver
- In Device Manager, right-click HID-compliant touch screen and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop, and Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.
5. Check for Hardware Issues
- If the above steps don't work, perform an HP hardware diagnostics test:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Turn it back on and press the Esc key repeatedly to open the Startup Menu.
- Select F2 for System Diagnostics.
- Run a touchscreen test to check for hardware-related issues.
6. Update BIOS
- Check if there is a BIOS update available on the HP Support website for your model and install it if necessary.
7. Perform a System Restore
- If the touchscreen worked before, you can use System Restore to revert your system to a point when it was functioning.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
