Hello,
I purchased the HP Star Wars Edition 15-an050nr about a year ago and I purchased it from the US. I live in India and in need to get the software recovery disk or pendrive to fix my laptop. Recently I was informed by the HP repair center in my city that since the laptop was originally urchased from the US, the recovery disk for it is not available in India. I can certainly order the recovery disk to be delivered to a friend or family member in the US, however, I cannot find the link to order it. Kindly help me with a link to order the product. Thank you.

Hi:
You can have a friend or relative order recovery media at the link below.
You can also clean install W10 for free at any time by using the media creation tool at the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
The tool will allow you to create a bootable W10 USB installation flash drive, or save an ISO file that you can burn to a DVD using your DVD burning program's burn ISO file option.
The tool will also work with the W10 product key in your PC's BIOS and activate once you are connected to the internet.
After W10 installs, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

You're very welcome.
The W10 product key is in the BIOS and you won't need it with the HP recovery media, or the media you create using the Media Creation tool.
W10 will automatically pick up the key when it installs. No need to enter it or anything.
If for some reason, you would like to know what the W10 product key is, and you can get into Windows now, I have zipped up and attached a free utility below, that will show you the W10 product key.
