Missing driver for "Base system device" x3 after Windows 7 install on laptop
 
 

Hi,

 

I've got three "base system device" drivers and one "unknown device" driver missing on my laptop . Ive now formatted HDD and installed 7 32 bit  Home premium. 

 

My laptop is a "HP Pavilion dv6 2140 se  Entertainment pc" laptop. The following are the details on the four items:

1.  Location: PCI bus 4, device 0, function 1

Hardware ID's:

 I have installt drivers for wierless, but it does't work. there is no connection with the net

If any of you happen to know what these devices are and where I could their respective drives please let me know! and if there is a solution for the Wlan, please tell me.

The drivers look fine. 

 

And the device reports working properly?  Does the ethernet connection work?  It looks fine too.

 

If so, the only suggestion I can offer would be to see if installing a later version of the Broadcom wlan driver resolves the problem...

 

This package contains drivers for the supported Broadcom Wireless LAN Adapters in the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems.

You need these drivers for the ID's you posted...

 

Base System Devices...

 

This package contains the JMicron Card Reader driver for the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems.

File name: sp45010.exe

 

Unk Dev:

 

This will install HP 3D DriveGuard, which provides protection for a notebook computer's internal disk drive if the computer is accidentally dropped or abruptly hits another object. This package is available on supported notebooks with supported operating systems.

For the wireless connection...What model wlan card does your notebook have?
