I have no idea what I am doing, I can not run a system test because when I hit f2 ut only gives me the options of memory or storage test.

Hi:

 

You run the storage test to test the hard drive.

 

BTW, if the hard drive is no good it cannot be replaced as a standalone unit.

 

The drive is an integral part of the motherboard and the motherboard would have to be replaced with a new one.

IMHO, I would not pay to have it fixed.

So if it doesn't let me run the storage test like I hit enter and it goes back to the previous screen means no good?

It doesn't sound good to me.

 

What I would try before tossing the PC out, would be to use another Windows PC with W7 64 bit or newer, and use the cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

 

If the drive is still good, that will work.  If the drive is bad, then it won't.  Game over.
