Here's how you can find and install the HP TrueVision HD Camera driver for your Windows 11 PC:
Check Windows Update First
Often, the latest drivers for HP TrueVision HD cameras are delivered via Windows Update.
- Go to Settings > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
Use HP Support Assistant (Recommended)
HP provides a tool called HP Support Assistant that automatically detects your device and installs the correct drivers.
- Download it from: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
- Install and run the tool. It will scan your system and suggest the correct camera driver if needed.
Manually Download from HP Website
If you prefer manual installation:
- Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your HP laptop model number (e.g., HP Pavilion 15-egxxxx).
- Select Windows 11 as your OS.
- Look under the Driver - Camera section for the HP TrueVision HD Camera driver.
- Download and install the driver.
Reinstall the Driver via Device Manager (if already installed)
If the camera is not working:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras.
- Right-click on HP TrueVision HD Camera and choose Uninstall device.
