@BlackGladiator, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding trouble accessing your new HP computer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It sounds like you're having trouble accessing your new HP computer because it's not accepting email or text requests to reset the password. Here’s a step-by-step guide that might help:

Check Internet Connection: Ensure your computer is connected to the internet, as password reset requests require it.

Use Password Reset Option:

  • On the login screen, click on Forgot Password.
  • If you don’t receive the reset email or text, check the Spam or Junk folder in your email account.
  • Make sure the phone number or email address you’re using is correct.

Verify Security Details: If you've set up security questions, you might be able to reset the password using those. Look for an option that says Reset using security questions.

HP Account: Try logging into your HP account on another device and check if there are any options to manage or reset your computer's password.

Hard Reset:

  • If the above steps don’t work, you may need to perform a system reset or recovery. On the login screen, look for an option like Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
  • This will allow you to reinstall Windows without losing your files (choose Keep my files if possible).

Let me know if this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
