Original OS = Windows 8.1

This is an odd error that is a result of older versions of Windows 8 and 10 not having all the features installed.

As the error message indicates, the fix is to search for the media fix online.

For example, use your favorite browser and search for "windows 10 media feature pack for n and kn"

From Microsoft:

Media Feature Pack list for Windows N editions

Note the Feature Pack list does not include the latest versions of Windows 10.

If your computer is stuck running one of the older Windows 10 versions, this solution might apply to your situation.

What else?

After the "fixit" pack is installed, it might be necessary to run Windows Updates again, though I really don't know if older versions of Windows would (or can?) Update.
