a while back, i installed HP Detect cuz i need a few drivers........

and ever since, a blank tab has added itself to Chrome at startup.

i knowq it's HP's fault, cuz occassionally it prompts me to download that file again.

From the little info I could find, it appears this HP Detection tool is merely a Browser add-on, extension, or plug-in.

So, to stop it from working, you go into Chrome and follow the directions in this link:  https://community.box.com/t5/Account-Information/How-To-Disable-Plugins-Add-Ons-Extensions-In-Multip...

Good Luck

How is it HP fault when you installed the program? It didn't install itself here. You need to go to your uninstaller in your device manager to remove it.
