I purchased a laptop second-hand and began having issues. I found out the Window 11 file was corrupted and my system needed to be wiped and Windows 11 reinstalled.
I downloaded Windows 11 from an old laptop onto a thumb drive and then rest the new one, and installed Windows 11. Everything seemed to be going well until -
blue screen: Hypervisor Error
auto restart
went thru setup again
then blue screen sgain: ntoskrnl.exe
auto restart
blue screen again: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
then another blue screen and a message announcing Windows didn't load correctly
It gave me the option to use advance repair options or restart and try again.
I chose "restart and try again", and waited for Microsoft Support to call back.
Windows Update in progress:
Step 1 of 3: Downloading - 100%
Step 2 of 3: Seemed to be going well, then screen blacked out...
Never recovered - pressed power button to try and reset again
Once it got running back up again, it went right to Step 2 of 3.
Then it went further and seemed to be doing better.
Blue screen yet again: ntoskrnl.exe
auto restart
'Diagnosing your PC'
'Something didn't go as planned' then it progressed to "Let's add your Microsoft Account....
Finished setup....
Seemed to be going well....I was downloading apps
then ntoskrnl.exe AGAIN
then later, another blue screen, and I think it said "Exception Mode Not Handled"
and then a forced restart.
The system will also go to a black screen and I can't recover the desktop and have to manually shut it down by holding the power button. Help? Please?

Unless I am mistaken, your product ID is 1S8F3UA#ABA and you have cloud recovery
HP is removing cloud recovery for system over 5 years old.
The actual wording is a limited time after the warranty expires
You may want to get a copy of the cloud recovery before it is too late.
Cloud recovery provides all the custom HP drivers.
Go to the below site and enter your product ID including the 3 characters after the # character
If you have cloud recovery you can restore your system using a 32gb flash.
It may take an hour or more to create the recovery USB.

Alternately, download from the MS windows store
Make sure you pass UEFI diagnostics first
Check to see if there is a hardware problem.
Tap the ESC key after powering on. Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.
If a component fails during the UEFI test then see if you can return the laptop.
Let me know what you find out.
