old notebook old driver (XP,2000,98) no longer available

I can't find on the hp site the drivers for these old notebooks.

Hi again, I try same procedure for non bussines laptop like DV1000 and DV4000 but it doesn't work. I try search with s/n and p/n. For example this. HP pavilion DV4000, s/n 2ce6150bq2 p/n ew874ea#abz model dv4450ea

Very old products deleted from the main site?

Hi:

Consumer notebook and desktop PC support is retired when the product is 10 years old or more.

There may still be drivers on the FTP site, but unless you know what the sp #'s are for them, you will never find them.

You have two options...find the drivers on a third party driver website, or at least get the sp numbers from there, and see if they still exist on the HP ftp site, or try and match HP business class notebooks that may have the same hardware as the dv1000/dv4000.

You're very welcome.

That may be hard but not impossible.

For example, this should be the BIOS file for the dv4450ea you have.

It is version F.17.

A comparable business notebook to find many of the drivers for the dv4000, would be the nc6220.

How did you find him? I noticed that some SPxxxx.exe have its .txt or .cva file with the description but this one you posted containing the bios does not. Sorry about my English.

Yes, that one is just the exe file on the ftp site.

I found it by doing a general search of dv4000 drivers.  Then I saw this site...

But then I had to find out if F.17 was for models with the Intel processors, and I found this old post that showed it was.
