Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thanks for sharing the screenshot—it really helps clarify what’s going on. The message you're seeing in OMEN Gaming Hub (“required HP services cannot be found”) typically means the app is missing a backend service or SDK package that enables features like Advanced PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive).
Let’s walk through a few steps that have helped others unlock those settings:
🛠️ Fixes to Restore Advanced PBO Access in OMEN Gaming Hub
✅ 1. Update All Drivers via Windows Update
- Go to Settings → Windows Update → Advanced Options → Optional Updates
- Install all available driver updates, especially for AMD, Intel, and Realtek
- Restart your system after updates
✅ 2. Update OMEN SDK via HP Support Assistant
- Open HP Support Assistant (search for it in Start)
- Check for updates under My Devices → Updates
- Look specifically for OMEN Gaming Hub SDK Package
- Install and restart
✅ 3. Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub Cleanly
- Uninstall OMEN Gaming Hub from Settings → Apps
- Press Windows + R, type wsreset.exe, and hit Enter to clear Microsoft Store cache
- Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub from the Microsoft Store
✅ 4. Check BIOS Settings
- Restart and press F10 to enter BIOS
- Look for PBO or Overclocking options under Advanced or Performance tabs
- If locked, HP may restrict access on certain models—some users have reported needing a specific BIOS version to unlock it
🧠 Why This Happens
Advanced PBO settings rely on:
- A compatible AMD Ryzen CPU
- Proper BIOS support
- The OMEN SDK service running in the background
If any of these are missing or outdated, the tab may disappear or stay locked—even after updates.
You’ve already done a ton of legwork, and your persistence is impressive. Let’s get those performance tweaks unlocked! 💪
