Hi @TMJTAUS,

Thank you for your response

I can help you with that! It sounds like there's an issue with the camera not initializing properly during startup, which is preventing the facial recognition feature from working. This could be due to a few reasons like driver issues, hardware conflicts, or software settings.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot the issue:

Check if the Camera is Enabled in Device Manager

Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.

Expand the Imaging Devices section and see if your camera is listed there (e.g., "Realtek Camera" or something similar).

If it is listed, right-click on the camera and select Enable (if it’s disabled).

If you don’t see the camera listed, or it has a yellow warning icon, it might indicate a driver issue.

Update Camera Drivers

Right-click on the camera device in Device Manager and select Update Driver.

Choose Search automatically for updated driver software. Windows will search for the latest drivers.

If an update is found, allow it to install and then restart your laptop to see if the problem is resolved.

If Windows doesn’t find an update, you can manually download drivers from the HP website:

Go to HP Support

Enter your laptop’s model (HP OmniBook Snapdragon 14fe0000qu).

Download and install any camera-related drivers.

Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Press Windows + I to open the Settings.

Go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.

Select Hardware and Devices, and click Run the troubleshooter.

Let it check for any issues and follow the on-screen instructions if any problems are found.

Check Windows Hello Settings

Press Windows + I to open Settings.

Go to Accounts > Sign-in options.

Under Windows Hello Face, check if it shows as "Set up" or "Remove" (you may need to reconfigure the face recognition if it’s not working).

Click Remove, restart your laptop, then reconfigure Windows Hello Face by following the prompts under the Set up option.

Test the Camera in Camera App

Press Windows + S and type Camera to open the Camera app.

Check if the camera works properly in the Camera app. If it doesn't, the problem may be hardware-related.

Reset Facial Recognition

Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.

Under Windows Hello Face, click Remove.

Restart your laptop.

Go back to Sign-in options and click Set up again to reset facial recognition.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
