Hi @S1nenomine

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for sharing that detail. Let’s get a clearer picture before diving into solutions.

When you're holding F2 during startup, are you trying to access the HP Hardware Diagnostics, the BIOS setup, or something else entirely? On HP systems, F2 typically launches diagnostics, while F10 is used for BIOS. If you're expecting a specific screen and nothing appears, it helps to know:

  • Are you seeing any display at all—HP logo, spinning dots, or just a black screen?
  • Is the keyboard built-in or external (USB or Bluetooth)?
  • Have you recently changed any hardware—RAM, SSD, battery?
  • Does the system boot normally if you don’t press any keys?
  • Are you using Fast Boot or UEFI settings that might suppress key detection?

Understanding your intent and what the laptop is doing in response will help pinpoint whether this is a firmware lockout, a keyboard detection issue, or something else entirely. Let’s narrow it down together.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
