I recently fixed a "missing boot manager" error message on my HP g62-371dx laptop and now iit is asking me to insert my operating system disk. When I enter my validation code for windows it tells me to contact my service provider. I am pretty sure my service provider is HP. So this how I got here. Can anyone guide me as to what steps to take next so I can get windows 7 home prem reinstalled on my lap top

Hi:
HP no longer sells recovery media for your notebook.
If your notebook has a W7 Home Premium product key, you can download a W7 ISO file from this site...
I have zipped up and attached the Microsoft utility you can use to transfer the ISO file to a USB flash drive or DVD, so that it is bootable.
Otherwise, your only other option would be to order HP W7 recovery media from this vendor...

thank you so much for your help. Chrome has blocked my download with this message "This file is dangerous, so Chrome has blocked it" It also says it will take 2 hours to download does that sound right?
Last question, I have no way of seeing if my version was 32 or 64 bit as my computer won't get past the inseret installation disk. So which one should I download

You're very welcome.
As far as I know, the ISO file downloads are legit. Many forum members have used that link.
Can you download the file using Internet Explorer or Edge?
It should work fine on either of those.
You would want W7 64 bit. If you look at the computer surgeons link I posted, the only recovery kit available is for W7 64 bit.
