out-of-the-box reset on a 2020 envy 15 laptop

Hello,

I messed up my disk partitions and i want a clean install of win10 which came with the laptop.

- i lost the original recovery which allowed me to "reset" from settings.

- bootable USBs from microsoft don't give me command center, which i apreciate.

- even tho it is a 2020 laptop, cloud recovery doesn't support it (why??)

i just want my ssd restored to "when i bought it" condition and no more. ssd is working fine, no hardware issue.

can it be done?

To help you I just need to know the full product number (p/n) xxxxxx#xxx of your notebook !

It looks something like this:

You will find this information on the back/rear of your notebook in small alphanumeric letters. Use a magnifying glass or the camera zoom feature on your smartphone to read it better.

I can confirm that. No cloud recovery possibility.

(1) Please follow the instructions from Microsoft to install Windows 10:

i may add for those searching the topic in the future:
if you want to have something like "hp command center" on windows 11, BUT it came default with windows 10 (when you got the pc), you need to reset the pc to windows 10 (either this method or normal reset) then upgrade to win 11 within windows 10.

if you reset to windows 11 by  erasing the disk and downloading the installer from microsoft and then try to install hp software it may not work.
