HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ey0000 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Been struggling with HP Envy Laptop AMD 5625U....one aspect weird graphics lines on chrome. I have turned off GPU acceleration and Rasterization, to be honest seems to make it worse. I used DDU to remove the standard AMD driver...and installed the latest driver. Made no difference. This problem started with my Windows 11 install...I have stripped everything out and went back to Windows 10 on new format partition. The only thing I haven't done is REMOVE the latest HP Bios revision. F.15

Hi @laurd,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Experiencing graphical issues on your HP ENVY x360 15.6" 2-in-1 Laptop PC with AMD Ryzen 5 5625U can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Check for BIOS Updates:

Since you've mentioned the possibility of the BIOS being a factor, check HP's official website to ensure you have the latest BIOS update. If you already have the latest version (F.15), consider checking the release notes for any known issues or revert to a previous stable version if possible.

Update Graphics Drivers:

You've already tried updating the graphics drivers, but ensure you're using the correct version from the official AMD or HP website. Follow these steps to ensure a clean installation:

  1. Uninstall Current Drivers:
    • Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in Safe Mode to completely remove existing drivers.
  2. Install Latest Drivers:
    • Download and install the latest stable driver from the AMD website or HP's support page for your specific model.

Adjust Chrome Settings:

If the issue is specific to Chrome, try the following:

  1. Disable Hardware Acceleration:
    • Go to Chrome Settings > Advanced > System > Turn off "Use hardware acceleration when available".
  2. Reset Chrome Flags:
    • Go to chrome://flags/ and click on "Reset all to default".

Check for Windows Updates:

Ensure that your Windows 10 or 11 installation is fully up to date:

  1. Windows Update:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.

Perform System Maintenance:

  1. System File Checker (SFC) and DISM:
    • Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands:
  • sfc /scannow DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Test in Safe Mode:

Boot into Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is related to third-party software or drivers.

Reinstall or Rollback Windows:

If the problem started after upgrading to Windows 11, rolling back to Windows 10 might help. Since you've already done this, ensure you're using a fresh installation without any previous settings or drivers carried over.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and potentially resolve the graphical issues with your HP ENVY x360.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

That didn't help. I have the issue in both Chrome and Edge...windows 10 and 11....I updated all drivers, I have tried resetting and repairing the systems. I turned off GPU acceleration, rasterization, etc

Still have the problem
