the problem is :
I purchased the laptop in the US when I was at a client place and now I am in India .
Hp India informed me that they will not consider my request to order media recovery disc since I have purchased the laptop outside India and told me to contact them.
my question is
how can I order the recovery disc in India?

Hi
First of all you can download the iso from microsoft and burn it to DVD or USB without needing a key, so make a good job of it for future usage.
If you have a genuine install of Windows 10 the system board is registered as your key with microsoft, so you do not need a new one.
Once you have repaired the boot problems MAKE YOUR OWN RECOVERY MEDIA IMMEDIATELY.
Magical jelly bean will find your product key for future reference, but it is locked to that system board.
Belarc Adviser and Piriform Speccy will also add to your serial number need for knowledge.
If in doubt please ask.

Hi
Could you create and flash a new bios onto the machine?
Download and try to make a recovery disk to be able to boot with https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 at the lower left corner is the Repair your computer option. This should not be installed as it may write over all your data and not have any compatible HP drivers or functions. But it can repair boot problems.
If in doubt please ask.

This is correct... HP India doesn't have HP Recovery Media for North American computer models and cannot get this media due to trade restrictions and other legal constraints.
my question is... how can I order the recovery disc in India?
My suggestion is for you or a friend/relative in the USA to order the recovery media online at USB - Windows 10 64b Recovery Kit or contact HP USA and order the media by phone. Provide the address for the friend/relative in the USA and have HP ship it there. When they receive the HP Recovery Media, have them ship it to you in India.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for a reply.
is it possible to get a product key for my windows 10?
so that I can download window 10 from Microsoft site and use it .
it will save my time and money.
if I order from the USA as you suggested. it will cost me 42$ (recovery disc cost) + 60 $ (shipping from US to India )
which is around 6500 rupees. I can a get new license copy around that money.

Hi
Good result.
Contacting HP whilst under warranty is a good idea, but I think you know that the end result may fall short of a complete fix for you.
As an alternative you can download and install all the HP drivers for your machine
and then do a restore point and after that make your own version backup / recovery system.
Programs like...
Macrium Reflect
