If you're encountering the "Product ID does not match or is invalid" message while using the HP Recovery Tool, there are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue. 

 

First, double-check that you're entering the correct product ID, which can typically be found on the label of your HP device, often located on the bottom or under the battery. 

 

Make sure there are no typos, extra spaces, or incorrect characters in the ID. You can also download and use the HP Support Assistant tool, which will automatically detect your device's details and ensure the correct Product ID is used.
