HDD died, Installed SSD, trying to install OS from disk boot error " No Bootable Device found" ,NO Legacy Boot option in BIOS to enable to clear error. What do I need to do?

Hi:

 

Your notebook won't have a legacy boot option.

 

See if this works.  If you are installing the OS from a DVD, have the DVD in the optical drive.

 

Turn on or restart the PC.

 

Tap/Press the ESC key to get the menu of options.  Select the F9 boot options menu, and from that, select the DVD drive and press the Enter key.

 

The PC should boot from the DVD drive and prompt you to press any key to continue booting from the DVD.

It still comes up No bootable device found.

Hi Paul, thanks for replying. I tried exactly what you said and it still pops up "No Bootable Device Found". Is there anything else I can try?
