HP Recommended

Hi everyone. I'm having a tough time figuring this one out. I purchased an HP Chromebook about 9 months ago. I opened it up 2 weeks ago. I set it up and it was working fine. Probably has about 6 hours total screen time usage.

Anyway, I went to power it on this morning and it gave me a black screen that says "Something went wrong. Try and fix the issue, start the recovery process."  I tried to restore with my android phone but my Google play is not recognizing the app that the QR code provided is giving. I honestly don't care about losing anything on the laptop, as there is hardly anything on it.

Is there a way that I can just reboot this whole thing and start from scratch? Or is there a way to proceed through this and get past this screen?

Ps - for some reason, it says that my warranty started in October 2021 and expired in November 2022. I'm guessing the warranty starts from the date they package it?? I'm not sure. Any help is appreciated, please.
