I believe this may have been caused by a software I am required to use for school as I never had this issue until I started using that program, but it could just be coincidental. When i open the Windows tab (?) to turn off my laptop, I click the power button and it says "there are currently no power options available". I found a post about this same issue from two years ago and followed those suggestions, first open troubleshooter see if it finds anything, it didn't. I then ran CMD and tried both codes: powercfg –restoredefaultschemes and then secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose. Neither of these worked. What next?
