HP Recommended

I have an elite book 8440P which randomly shuts down and takes ages to come back on. Machine is fitted with motherboard 594023-001 running win 10. I have tried all solutions suggested to help solve. Would replacing motherboard with second hand working one solve the problem? Also woulda later version board be suitable to allow it to work as noted somewhere that same machine could have different items fitted on the board?
