@arewboehm, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Basic Power Check

Is the power light on? Do you hear any fans or beeps?

Try unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on again.

If it's a touchscreen all-in-one desktop, ensure the power brick and cord are securely connected.

Confirm It's Not Just the Screen

Try pressing the Caps Lock key — does the light toggle? If it does, the PC may be on, but the display is off.

Plug in an external monitor via HDMI or VGA to test if the internal display is faulty.

Reset BIOS (CMOS Reset)

If the screen is blank and no response:

Turn off the PC and unplug it.

Hold the power button for 15 seconds.

If there’s a CMOS battery (like a coin cell battery on the motherboard), remove it for 5–10 minutes and then put it back.

Try Entering BIOS

Power it on and immediately press F10 or ESC repeatedly.

If BIOS loads, it’s not a hardware failure.

Attempt Recovery

If you see HP logo, try this:

Power on and press F11 repeatedly to access HP Recovery Environment.

From there, choose Startup Repair or System Restore.

Boot from USB

If Windows is corrupted:

Use another PC to download the Windows 10/11 Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's site.

Create a bootable USB drive.

Insert it into your HP PC and boot from it (press ESC or F9 on startup).

You can then attempt a repair or fresh install.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
