iI have a hp pavilion laptop dv9727cl and I am trying to find the recovery disks for it because my first disk of the 3 got trashed and can not be read by the computer. So I can not restore my computer.

Sorry for the bad news, but no one, including HP, has stocked Vista recovery disks for years and years
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP

Hi
You may find a disk on the internet, of dubious heritage.
Otherwise repairs etc are not really possible.
You could try this... https://www.raymond.cc/blog/recover-photo-and-data-from-scratched-or-damaged-cd/
But I guess you need an OS initially, Linux Mint may do.
This is then relevant https://askubuntu.com/questions/15827/recovering-files-from-a-corrupt-cd-dvd
A lot of effort for an unknown end result.
OR
Linux Mint Live and see if Gparted can/will recover/repair the partitions on the current HDD.
If in doubt please ask.

Hi, @gambillone
You can still order recovery media for your PC from this vendor at the link below...
