Hi I sent for my kit some time ago, for some reason the first cd no longer
works! is there anything I can do?
Was given link to HPcloud, however it doesn't support my notebook.
Contacted Best serve,so many time, never got a reply. Feeling really unloved right now.
Is there anyone that could help please.
Regards

Hi:
Best2Serve sells recovery W8.1 media for your notebook.
Enter the product number (M3Z51EA) in the search box at the link below...33.79 quid.
https://www.best2serve.com/en-gb/page/rcd_landing
You can also reinstall W8.1 for free by making your own installation media as follows...
Download the plain W8.1 64 bit installation media from the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO
Use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that it is bootable.
After W8.1 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me.
As I have stated in my post, I brought the recovery kit from best serve and it isn't working now! I have contacted them a few times regarding it but had no reply. Not very good to say the least.
I need to reinstall the whole thing. I have tried doing it by installing after reset and installing the drivers from web site, but there is always something that doesn't work. I.e it was the usb port this time and not altogether sure which I should download.
Many thanks

You're very welcome.
W8.1 should install the USB drivers automatically.
There are no standalone USB2 or USB3 drivers needed for W8 - W10.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the W8.1 chipset driver and see if that makes a difference.

Since I don't work for or represent HP, or Best2Serve, I can't be of help with getting Best2Serve to contact you.
Best2Serve is an independent company, and I do not believe that HP can intercede on your behalf.
Did you try upgrading the PC to W10?
The hardware should support it.
If not, you can probably still get the free upgrade by clicking on the Blue update now button at the link below...
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
This link indicates the free upgrade still works as long as you currently have an older Windows OS installed.
