Dear all,

I have an issue with my laptop. It won't boot any more and I tried to download the recovery tool. When I run it on a different PC, it asks for product ID but when I insert the ID Y5L00EA, the recovery tool doesn't recognize it.

I read on some posts that it should support that model. Any idea on how to restore my laptop?

Hi:

 

HP withdraws support for the HP cloud recovery tool upon the PC reaches 5 years of age.

 

That is why your notebook's Y5L00EA#ABZ product number returns an error.

 

Your only option would be to use the Microsoft media creation tool from the link below to create a bootable USB installation flash drive and clean install W11.

 

Download Windows 10

 

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
